Hi,
I received my 4.0 upgrade and it is installed.  All my recipes were there so i'm a happy girl.  I found the box "print this in my recipe book" so that's all good.

BUT........

How do i print one recipe per page?  I want to use the half page option, but only want one recipe per page...I don't mind the dbl printing of the half page, coz i'm ultimately printing 20 copies.

Appreciate your help

Scarlett

Hello there Scarlett

If you go into the Printing Page and hit the 'Edit' button by the Recipe section, this will take you to a page where you can both choose your recipes and have either one recipe per page or continuous printing. At the top of the page you will see Page Layout. Use the drop-down menu to change the default setting.

Good luck with your cookbook!
very best wishes

Hello there mjm,

You still can although it's tricky (hence version 4.0!)

As you know, the recipes come out in columns. If, say, you start a recipe in the first column and this goes over into the second column and you don't want anything else on that page, because you feel there would not be enough room, then we have found that the trick is to press the 'Enter' key as many times as you feel is right , THEN press the 'period'  key. This will stop any more activity on this page.

I know it's not ideal, I know that you can see the period when you print, and I know it involves a bit of tweaking,(and you can change the font size too if that helps) and using the preview to see how it is looking, but this is the only way to do this in the old version.

I also am trying to print one recipe per page and have read the instructions posted. However, when I hit the edit button and it takes me to the next screen, there is nothing at the top of the screen saying "Page layout". I only have Exit, Find, Spelling highlighted  and cut and paste unhighlighted. My version says 4.0., but the info needed is not on that page. What else do I need to do?

Hello there Jetset

When you say that Matilda takes you to the next page, which page does it take you to?

It should look like this, with Page Layout at the top, and custom banners underneath.

Kind regards.
