Thanks for going to all this trouble Sheila, I'm sure that it will help us find a solution.  We are, I think only getting this problem from a few half page users, so that it has to (in my opinion, for what that is worth) something to do with cramping the recipes.

Are you prepared to elongate the recipe, using more extraneous lines- an empty line after each part of the method for instance to see what happens? I think that will be the acid test.

So, there is strange coding in there? This is the first time anyone has said to us that it is noticeable.

I've given all this information to our software developer, I know that she is working on your MatildaBack and that of another customers today.

Very kind regards
Matilda

Hello there geperry,

Registering modules? Makes it really sound like it is rocket science after all!

Try this download to see if it helps and get back to me if not.

The symbol at the bottom left of the blank page, with magnifying glass looks like a strange 1 and others look like a 3.  The are a little less than 1 mm.  10mm + 1 centimeter.  2 1/2 cent. = 1 inch.  Had to look all that up so thought I'd share.   Wink

I took 3 of the longest recipes and removed all the extra spaces.  I also hit delete at the end of the recipe to remove any possible extra lines.  No luck.  They printed with the extra page.

I agree that it's the coding.  But what did I do to trigger the issue when at one time, all was working correctly?  Oh I know.....I had this cookbook started in Cooking - Half Page.  It was saved (matildaback.mdb).  But while working on the other 2 books, I found I like the option of making my own banners with Custom Banner - Half Page.  So I switched this one.  That's when I began to get the blank pages.  I switched back to Custom Banner - Half Page to see if the blanks would go away but they didn't.   I did find that if I go to a Full Page program, there are no blank pages.  So maybe I triggered the issue by going from one design to another.

I deleted all the recipe types from my recipes page so that I could add my own.  Now I am not able to save the ones I want to add.  I opened the window which allows you to delete or add a type and I proceeded to add various types.  Each time I click on the Add button a window pops up that says I have added it.  However, when I check my list nothing has been added.  Even when I add them individually under "choose this recipe type" they are not saved on to the list.  This means I have to type in the recipe type each time I add a recipe.

I've been trying to install the trial version but it keeps getting hung up during the setup.... it says 'registering modules' and just stays there forever.  Please advise.

Try using a design that you can repeat Lori, that way you can drag the saved design into Word and then, making  the right size banner, as Becky says 7"  x 0.75", simply copy and paste one next to the other.

I must admit that I then cheat and use the snipping tool (All Programs/ Accessories / Snipping Tool) to 'cut' this out,  save it, and then load it.

Fot the other questioner twilliams, you will need to take your logo into a photo editing program to re-size the logo.

Just as a FYI, we created the custom banners chiefly for semi-or professional graphic designers who had a program like Photoshop on their computers. Now I have seen Photoshop, but cannot use it, far to difficult for little me, that is why I cheat. If you have the time I'm sure you to can find a way of cheating. I use mainly Word to cheat with, but you probably have Paint too.( All Programs /Accessories/ Paint.)

Kind regards
Matilda

I'll attach a few that I've done; they are not brilliant, but they pass is you don't look too hard!

Hello there Mrs H,

I've just tried this in my software and there is definitely a problem here. It looks okay until you try to exit that page then the 'birthday message' comes up. Do you get this too?

I'll have to ask someone else about this Mrs H, but will get back to you.

Kind regards

Matilda

It will let me put in the 29th but it won't let me save it.  Sorry for the confusion.  I really hope there is a way to correct this as I really want this birthdate in the family cookbook.  Also is there a way I can put his death date in the birthday section ?  I dont want to do a boigraphie.  Thank you  Dawn
